I have a 96 SE and just noticed that my alternator fuse is blown. I just replaced the alternator and am not sure if the fuse was blown before the new one or after. Also, I went to SEARS so they could do a battery test and was told that the car was having "electrical problems". I believe my problem is whatever blew the alternator fuse in the first place. Please respond with input on what you think could/would have caused that problem. Thank you!

damn im having alternator problems as well. my altenrator is makin a really loud whinning noise. what about urs?

 

Nope, I never heard any whining noise coming from my alternator. I'm also having problems with the battery losing its charge quickly, and my guages stopped working. Has anyone had the same problem?
