Maxima Newcomer

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself to the org.

I am the proud new owner of a '95 Concord Mist GXE with 111k miles. Now while I've just bought the car, I have been familiar with it for a couple years.

It had belonged to my parents who I still live with. When I had a project going on with my Mustang, the Maxima was the trusty standby. It also got me through some bad winter days. It also just had a transmission rebuild. When my parents decided to sell it, I knew that after a two-year test drive this was a good buy and I was not going to let it get away.

I had originally purposed to make it my daily driver/winter beater while leaving my Mustang to be a drag/show car. But while doing my thing and perusing the internet for information I stumbled across this excellent forum and Custom Enterprise as well.

The enthusiasm for these vehicles is excellent, and well, after driving the car for two years I can see why. While a 190hp rating isn't excellent compared to, say 250hp from my parent's new 3.5L Chrysler 300. The 300 is a GUTLESS PIG! Put that thing on a diet, Chrysler!

Anyways, I think I'm here to stay.

If you're curious to see where I'm coming from
My Mustang

Thanks for the great forum!

I think it's tight that a contributing factor to you buying the max was this forum. But hey, this place rocks.

Welcome to the org.

I'm a bowtie man myself but 'really' old school is cool

There is an 'iron lung' mod but it's definitely not a 6-71!

Don't let the '96-'98 taillights fool you, it's a '94 which has the factory 5.0 in it.

I've modded it a "little." The mods page will tell you about it.
