Frozen Brake Line

Frozen Brake Line

K driving to work this smorning and brake light was on so im wondering if the brake line is frozen if so does any one know how much a new brake line costs and how hard it is to replace your self or should i pay nissan or a shop to do it?

don't think a frozen brake line would cause a brake light to come on. most of the time a brake light comes on is because brake fluid is low. but if i did happen to be a brake line they don't cost that much $10-20, and take bout 30 mins to install and bleed.

im not talkin about the brake line im talking about the ebrake cable sorry i wasnt very clear

1. Check the brake fluid level. If its low, check your pads - because if your fluid is low, it could be due to worn pads (the pads themselves don't trigger the light, but since more fluid is used fill the piston, the low-fluid indicator in the reservoir is triggered).

2. It could be your parking brake switch - i.e. if the parking brake cable doesn't release it has no effect on the light, but if the actual parking brake is not fully disengaged or the switch that triggers the light is not working properly, the brake light may stay engaged.
