What does CO and NO mean? I remember hearing that you have to let the y-pipe warm up for about 20 minutes before going to get tested. But I'm glad I don't live in CA, all we have to do is have no codes and a working gas cap.

Before you got for your second round, Buy one of these http://www.gimmelucas.com/osc/eshop/...5&reviews_id=3 and put that in your gas tank, day before you got, make sure your car is all wormed up before you get it inspected. You will pass.

Aha! Well....

this answers my question if people fail emissions due to aftermarket y-pipe. That sucks. NJ is getting as strict as CA. I used to live in FL - no emissions check at all!

Keep that Y warm, use Lucas and hope for the best. That's the one thing I am dreading about coming to Cali next year.

Unless you can do your own work and swap out the stock Y for the aftermarket one when inspection time comes

I passed with a 3" exhaust, including the Y-Pipe.

He's got something else wrong. That link above will probably do the trick.
