What mods do you regret?/Suggestions for good mods

Happyricefob made a small list of things he regretted using to mod his car and listed what he should've done instead... Here it is:

ie.
1. SS y-pipe over aluminized y-pipe
2. greddy sp2 catback over custom back
3. sprint springs over maxspeed springs
4. Sumitomo HTR+ over kumho ecsta supra

and the list goes on...
I found it interesting and something I think we could all learn from if we learned from other people's mistakes.

Here's my SHORT (I haven't had much of a chance to screw up too bad) list of some of my regrets/what I should've done...

1. bought crappy gauge faces/bought the whole SE cluster and add LEDs
2. bought shift+e-brake boots from jujeracing/ordered boots somewhere else

If everyone contributes, I think this could be a very educational thread!

I don't regret anything, I could have waited a few months on my optima but that's nothing big. I bought dropzones for $80 and sold them for $50 after I found out they were no good.

I didn't pay very much for a repaint on my bumpers.
Don't skimp on that.
I learned the hard way.
It doesn't look as good as it could.

Did the white/red taillight mod. Well, I don't really regret the mod, I regret leaving one of the taillights in the oven too long.

well, for me, I thought maxspeeds would do it but sooner or later the drop wasn't low enough considering that maximas oddly come with huge fender gaps. That's about it. But I do regret ignoring problems and just buying new mods. I think it's important that people maintain their cars than just modding them too. Some may say it's even common sense. Remember! There's no point in modding your car if you're not maintaining it either.

You'll learn and love it. If not I'm sure you could get a local orger to trade for a similar auto.

You'll get the hang of it...give it a few weeks, maybe months (depending on how often you drive).

how long have you been driving it for? its stressful at first, you'll definately get the hang of it, its contrary to natural instinct when first driving. good luck with it, its definately fun, practice makes perfect.

Should have gotten Falkens instead of Kumho's
Got crap Kenwood subs, then upgraded to Alpine Type R's
Hanabis instead of my Phillips Kit

I regret my underdrive pulleys. My lights dim like no other. For some reason, my buddy's have same car, 5 speeds and all and there's don't dim like mine at all. I even bought a brand new nissan alt. when mine when out and it didn't help. I have the ur pulley. I bet I loose 20 percent of light and air out of the blower. That's it

i kinda regret doing my tan cloth to black leather swap, i love black interiors over tan interiors, but its just so damn hard to find parts locally. i already have the seats instsalled and am having a hard time finind pillars, seatbelts..... and my worst concern is what am i going to do with the dash, i dont want to paint it but im positive i wont be able to find a dash to swap in, and even if i do i dont know how to take out an entire dash. i also gotta do the carpet (well not that hard) and the roof liner. oh, well, we'll see how it goes, as long as i have the org to lend a hand i should be alright.
