Question about 95 max axle
Odds are it's not, but I'm not sure on your location as some I30's(not sure on Maximas) came with the VLSD from Canada, someone changed it aftermarket. It might be in the VIN somewhere.
the passenger side does not matter, same axle either way, the driver side would depend. Easiest way to find out is to take the axle out and bring it to compare when you buy the new axle. The difference will be in the thickness and markings around the splines where the axle is inserted into the transmission.
Odds are that you have open diff. unless you got the car from Canada. Also, I'm almost positive that you don't have ABS. I was always under the impression that ABS was not on any 95's. I'm curious actually. Do you have ABS? I don't want to know what you think. I want to know what you know. Do your wheels lock up or jutter under extreme braking.

Mine doesnt, as for the guy you were asking, in order to check you can do a few things, get udner your hood and check the master cylinder, if there is a 2nd metal box under the MC with metal lines coming out from it, then you do, if not, than no, or check your ABS fuse, if its there, bingo...and when you do your brakes if there's an extra line besides the fluid line around the rotor/ caliper region then, once again bingo. Or head to a dirt road and see if it locks up when braking hard.
