on the 95 gxe the cupholder str8 sucks!!!...ive dropped supersized drinks all over my tranny, from drinks tipping over..it got all sticky and it made my car get stuck in park...it sucked!!!!!...i had to take apart the whole thing(inbetween both front seats)...and clean it up..its cool now..i sprayed some wd40 cuz the "lock" that prevents u from shifting w/o pressing down the brake was stuck.so even if i pressed the brake down, i couldnt shift i swear nissan wasnt thinking..i usually have to drive around holding down my drink...

Most drinks just wont fit in there...

If you want to fit something in there that wont spill you've gotta go for bottled water. Poland Spring, Deer Park, the 16 oz. bottle fits fine without fear of spilling. Most fast food "medium sized" drinks will fit without drama. For all the 5 speed riders we just have to be careful about the height of the drink we place in the cup holder for it may make shifting a bit uncomfortable. BTW for all 95-96 riders I'm not sure what works for you but I ripped the divider out of the cup holder. Its held there by adhesive and after first spilling Snapple Iced Tea down there I could never get it clean to my standards (too much juice stuck under the divider). I actually like the cupholder without the damn divider.

Whenever friends ride with me and complain about cupholders in my Max I usually tell them hey this car has been designed for serious drivers who want to travel safely at high speeds. No room for junk, all business in my cockpit. (I guess that what all the Bimmer, Mercedes, and Audi drivers say... sounds cool to me!)

I know what you mean. I can get the BK large in though.

It's nice and snug, won't tip over no matter how hard I brake. I cant get McDonaldss or any other ones to. And the large cups with the medium base? They suck. Nothing to hold onto with. If I set it in ly lap, it just flips out onto the floor.
Guess thats why they say not to drink and drive!

Twist the beverage container slightly as you lift and it will come free smoothly.
