complete asthetic restoration (need parts)

ok, i found a place that sells new carpet kits and the custom floor mats which have the hole that keeps it in place. unfortunately it's not the "maxima" ebroidered ones.. so the mats and carpet will run about $200 from the site i was looking at. if anyone knows about a cheaper source feel free to tell. aside from this floor work i want fresh upholstery. i have not found a good place where i can get new leather upholstery kits. and i have found absolutely no information on replacement rubber for the exterior of the ride. i want all new window seals and especially the ~2" tall one that runs along the base of each window horizontilly. anyone know where i can find these things? my new baby's gonna be sweet. 91 se stick. 87,250 mi...$2,850. needs some work though.

thanks for any help

I hope you have a lot of money to spend. The leather kits can be bought from ADT1.com or leatherseats.com. They both use katzkin leather (same kit I have...check my site for pics right after I installed it). You can get it cheaper if you work the prices against each other . I paid $565 or so shipped for the kit.

The rubber can only be gotten from the dealer. The belt moldings (the 2" tall one on the base of the wondows that you talk about) arent too bad at around $150 for all 4 from courtesy nissan. I think thats what I paid for mine thats been sitting in my closet for over a year now waiting to be put on. The other rubber (along the roof, around each door opening, around each door itself) is pretty expensive I believe but you can call to find out. Dont buy what you dont need. Chances are most of the rubber is fine and not in need of replacement.

Good luck.

I've seen them on eBay also, for aroud $500. Supposedly "original" take-offs, but don't know for sure. The pics look nice, tho.

I think I would rather pay an extra $65 (which would actually factor much less since the $565 was including shipping) to get brand new leather than factory take offs. JMO though.

thanks for the replies..those seats look great awsm. $565 is extremely reasonable and i'll order in a heartbeat as soon as i get the timing belt replaced. haha! it'll be nice to have brand new carpet and brand new seats in this baby considering the faded worn condition the original leather is in. thanks a lot for those links man.

Where exactly is "Maximaland" Oregon?

check out www.NWMaxima.com, too. Several of us from the NW are on there.

It sounds like you are putting quite a bit of $$ into your car. That's good to hear. Have you done google searches for the carpet and mats? You might be able to find somewhere cheaper, but I haven't looked into it, since my interior is still pretty good.
