I remember you saying you were going to do a clear silicon treatment to the autodynamic front and rear clears. I just got my clears in the mail and I want to know if the silicon solved the condensation problem that people keep reporting. If so, I will do it before I install the clears.

Also, do the stock rears come with a clear bulb? Did you put a red bulb in? Is it illegal (if you know) to take the clear bulb on the street? Did you replace the front orange bulb with a clear?

Thanks in advance...I plan on using your installation instructions.

Yes the silcone seemed to have fixed the problem. It has rained here the past few days, I even took it to the highpressure car wash and sprayed around them, they did not FOG, or get moisture in them at all. It seems to have fixed it. So do the Silcone treatment guys!

Also my rears did not come with a bulb, I used the white one in the stick lense till I got by walmart and got some red 194 bulbs and installed them. Now I am legal as long as I have the right colored bulbs in there...

I can't get the condensation out of my rears to apply the silicon treatment. Too often a car wash or ill-timed rain.

Just made the Home Depot run...

Picked up some silicone and a couple of red bulbs for the rears. We'll see how it works.

Thanks for the tips.

Sure hope you mean silicone, or this will be one expensive project ... jk

Yes, I meant silicone as I typed in my second post.

Silicon just doesn't bond very well and all my silicon is in this box I've got in storage packed underneath my plutonium so I figured I'd do it with silicone.

I siliconed my front clears and so far there's been no problems...and that's with all the misty weather in SoCal lately.

No jinx, no jinx...please!

Condensation Question

Quick question:

Where does the condensation form? In the light bulb cavity or the cavity between the inner and outer lense?

also...

Since the side markers were installed in a non vacuum sealed environment, when the ambient temperature drops condensation will form, won't it?

So essentially, the silicone treatment won't work... it only seems to work cuz the temperature hasn't dropped enough for condensation to form... right?

Oh .. I dunno .. my comment was only commenting on your very valid point ... your claim seems very reasonable ... I don't have front / rear clears yet ... 2 cheap ... I'm waiting 4 a group buy or something like that ....
