Would anyone happen to know where i could find some of the UK corners??

 

You can buy some regular clear corners and there's a member, awsm66, who can tint them for you for $40 he does a very good job and uses high quality products so they won't fade. I think that it'll be cheap than importing and paying over sea shipping charges.

 

the 3rd gen Maxima was rare in the UK. It is very difficult to find some used. You can get them new from a dealer over there or probably even from a US dealer if you can get the P#) for about $150 or so each corner. If you could find them used from some one over there still expect to pay around $100 or more by the time you buy them and ship them over here.

I can tint them but they will not look exactly like the UK but will be closer than anything else you can get done. I use a mixture in clear so that its just as durable as the paint on your car.

What's the difference between NZ & UK clear corners? (I'm assuming you're talking about the amber lens for the clearance light, right?).
NZ clear corners don't have a light in them (UK ones probably don't either) - just a piece of foil that sits inside the lens. I added a clearance light to mine after cutting out the mounting hole (the outline was stamped on the housing) and pulling out the foil.

I can get NZ clear corners for around US$35 a pair plus shipping.

 

UK corners look like clear corners, but they have a smokish tint look to them. Craig has them on his car, and they kinda look like the corners on awsmm66's max

are those the ones that you can get??

 

UK corners are smoked and flush with the body like US ones. They do not have any lights in them so you have to drill both holes and remove the foil piece inside the smaller bulb spot. awsm66 and I both have real UK corners on our cars (so do Chris91se, Lordrandall used to, and a few others)

NZ have the smaller part smoked but the larger part still clear and I believe there is a bump over where the smaller bulb would go, correct? Actually, now that I think about it, that's AU corners but looking at a brochure that a NZ guy (stevesmax) scanned for me, it looks the same.

I think most people want the UK ones to match the E36 headlights since stock corners (or regular clears) look too light with the dark headlight housings.

NZ Corners: Notice only the smaller section (would be amber on USDM corners) is tinted, the other section is like the normal USDM corners (matches the stock headlight)

thanks guys, my max is a slow working progress, the first thing i need to do is fix my front driver side door, i was at school, opened my door as so girl was pulling into the spot next to me, and she hit my door and almost ripped it off. Not much body damage, just need a new hinge or two, the most expensive thing is getting the work done, can't do something like that myself, i know someone so hopefully i can get it done for cheap. I also need to fix my exhaust, have a major leak. Thinking about buying the warpspeed 2-1/2" exhaust system. Just need to save some more money. Thanks for the info. If i need anywork with the lights, i will post again.
