My custom grille project (NOW WITH PICS!)

Well, today the hardest part was done. I painted the custom grill covers. First I sprayed a silver coat and while it matched the car well and had a nice little chrome look to it...I didn't like it. So I decided to paint it black. Here's the outcome:

Lower part of the grille, 23 1/2 Inches:

Upper strips, both 11 inches:

Next thing left to do is clear coat to protect the finish from rain, carwashes, and whatever. Clear coat will be done Friday and hopefully so will the rest of the project. Stay tuned, fellas. =D

And oh before anyone asks: the newspaper is Russian and it ain't mine.

very nice but since it has no opening it isnt to good 4 the car, the car needs those opening in the grill and all to breath . might want to make some holes with a drill nice and neat you know so it can pass threough air, jsut my .02

?

This is just going to go over the old grill. It's going to look practically identical to your grille. It won't be blocking off any incoming air at all.

1) It's going to make my grill look a lot more aggressive; almost identical to the 02/03 grille.

2) It will be attached to the grille.

3) Of course. But it'll take time. Like I said, clear coating is next.

Looks nice. I'm interested in seeing some pics of the finished project.

Is that a Russian newspaper?
