I went out and measured the trunk holes on my 97 and a 2001 and they are 1 and 1/16 inch or 24mm the same size as the camera. they should fit. I am thinking they will and am going to risk it. If they are way to big in which i stronly doubt i will dremal out a tad.

One person has put one into their trunk with out moddification to the trunk hole.

OK i talked it over with a company and they will give me 20 of them for $60 apeice. So $60 for a camera. as said above they should fit in the trunk hole. If not you could always put it into your rear bumper.

Hey tkarra you sent me a credit card payment. I do not have a merchnt accound. i will deny your payment and can you pay thruough paypal with your checking account rather tan your CC.

This goes as a note. everyone please pay with your checking account and not your CC as stated above i am do not have a merchant account, so i cannot accept them.

i do not have a date when the cams will arrive. but someone who has ordered a cam form the company says it takes alittle while to get. Then i will ship them out myself, the day i get them, to everyone who ordered them.

for those of you who are concerned about paying and waiting a while to recieve the cam, you have nothing to worry about..Dustin (manualmaxima) is a good friend of mine, and he's very trustworthy.

 

Anymore pics of the screen at night and day with the sun shining right in the camera? I wanna see what the worst case scenario would be for using the camera. (The worst time of day to view what's behind you using the camera )

greenmax95se no it does not come with a housing or anythgn to roof mount it. you could cut a tiny hole in your bumper. These cams are water proof.

 

how does it work? do you have to have a recorder hooked up or what? I dont get it ... it sounds awesome, and I want one ... but I dont have any TVs or anything in my car yet. lol Might be a good investment for the future?

Can you hook it up to the front of your grill? That would be cool to have one in the front and one in the back. They arent illegal are they? They would come in handy cause some bi0tch is saying shes gonna key my shi0t .... I would be able to catch her red handed.

 

sorry to inform you but no they do not record. I mean if you buy a vcr for your car and hook it up, and leave your car running all night then it would work, but the chances that these cams will be used for that are i am sure pretty slim to my knowlage.

these cam are mainly for if youhave a tv, you put it in your trunk, and when you back up you can see better and see lower and wider than you can with using you rear veiw mirror. also they are tight as hell.

 

You can buy a 12 volt vcr for like $100-150 bucks and that would work. Set it up with a microwave sensor so that it powers up when someone walk around the car. I can drtaw it out for you if you want. Also get you the VCR.

come on we only need 7 more people...ask people who you know have tvs in da car!

 

OK they make 12 volt VCR that you can set to record, then it will not record unless if there is a video sorce. (the cam for sale, for example) You wire the power on the camera to a relay that is powered to a micriwave sensor for an alarm system (car).
Then when someone sets off the microwave sensor (kind of like the old school talking alarms ) the sensor will turn on the relay to the camera power. Now there is a video sorce and the vcr records. There is a very small current draw and the car still starts in the morning. That is how I have done it for a few people.

wariow: can you make it so when you go in reverse the camera goes on?

Yes you can relay it into the backup lights on your car so that when you backup the camera turns on. Most TV will switch when they since a sorce to that sorce...if you have a cheaper TV that does not do that or has 1 video sorce there is a way to do it with a video switch.
