'Speaker Noise' W/ Rear Defrost On...

I was driving home this morning and noticed a whining/speaker/stereo noise, with the stock stereo off. Its much more noticeable with the rear defroster on. I've heard this noise before on cars with systems...almost like whistling that changes with the accelerator...more gas = higher pitch noise. I'm just curious because its only the stock stereo, and it gets way more noticeable with the rear defroster on...while the stereo is off the whole time.

Just made me think about those aftermarket grounding kits like the kind you find here...http://www.stillen.com/Sportscars_de...d=36693&page=1 ...are those worth it?...and any ideas/suggestions/fixes for this noise?...and does this grounding kit make any difference at all?
Thanks.

Hey Jmal I have had that exact problem with the stock system on my 2001, It seems to only affect the radio though. When I turn on the rear defrost certain stations don't come in very well(lots of static). I asked this question before and got no response. So Im not sure about the grounding kit but if you have any success fixing it let me know.
