What happens if I take out the resenator?

 

If you are referring to the white box under the battery, then absolutely nothing happens. I have the OSCAI setup and removed the L-tube that feeds into the resonator before doing anything else. I did not notice an increase in noise or power by doing that alone. But, if you do the OSCAI mod along with a K&N drop in, you will definitely feel it ....especially if you route your tubing down through the splash guard.

 

Why would you want to remove the resonator box? Is it just for aesthetics?

 

i'm going to take a guess that he is referring to the exhaust resonator, not the intake resonator...cutting off the exhaust resonator and putting a piece of straight pipe will give you a louder noise...no performance gains, just a little bit more of a drone noise at 2k rpm or so...if you are talking about the intake resonator, taking that off doesn't do anything

 

It'll get louder.

How do we take out the intake resonator? Will it increase power?
