HID's aren't bulbs... they provide better illumination than any halogen light bulb out there, not sure why you feel they have limited illumination?? maybe they're not aimed properly. I adjusted the aim on mine, usually dont use my high beams anymore (but also get flashed by oncoming traffic regularly)

2K2 and 2K3 both use D2R size bulbs, so any D2R bulb you can use as a replacement...heres the thread i made about them a few days ago, basically the same question as you

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=353686

basically like bigdo said, HID systems are the BEST light output your gonna get...and the stock temp is probably the brightest your gonna get, from what the guys in my thread said. aiming the lights may be your only choice. you can also try HID fogs, which igor911 did, which should light up the road a lot more for you.

Try aiming them up with a 8mm socket first, give it a few turns and see if that suits you. That's what I did because I felt that they weren't illuminating far enough either and now I just LOVE my H.I.D.s and so do all my friends!

Hmmmmnn....I get that too.

I just figured it was the white non-blue color mimicking brights or the distracting sharp cutoff line when they wiggle around over bumps.

So, you never had the getting flashed problem until you raised them up? If so, I'll try lowering mine.
