Ouch Neal. Glad to hear you're alright. Hate to see it go, but I bet there is many things you can part out. That is if you plan on another max.

as everyone said...sux man...but looking at the pics, the front end held up remarkably well as in not shifting that much to the right...from the look.

Is there frame damage?

D@mn, sorry Neal.
So are you done with the max?
Ever consider buying it back form the insurance?
Was the frame bent or is it all exterior body damage?
Hate to see a fast max disappear from the scene.

Other than the obvious cosmetic damage, is there any real mechanical damage to the underside of the car? At first glance the car doesn't look too bad. Sorry to hear about your loss.

If it had enough energt to tear the bumper off it has to show at least some structural damage. I had my stillen lip torn off by a piece of semi truck tire and it took out my y-pipe among other things and it wasn't 1/8th as bad as Nealocs bumper damage.

Sorry to see that Neal....fastest N/A max...

Yes there is significant frame damage to the car. I have other pics I will post that illustrate some of it. The trunk lid is even contorted and jacked, no longer flush at all. The doors on the other side of the car (rear passenger) are also jammed back. Basically the whole car is bent. The radiator support is crushed, the motor is rocked back on the motor mounts, radiator and ac condensor crushed, transmission leaking, front driver's axle is bent severely, front driver's strut is bent.

Based upon what little I know about body and frame work, I estimate at least 9K worth of damage to the car. I do know that replacement of my radiator support, radiator, ac condensor, 2 fenders, front bumper, was quoted at $4400 a year and a half ago when I hit a deer. All that is damaged again, plus the fact that the whole frame is jacked, doors smashed in, doors rammed back, suspension wrecked, transmission, motor mounts, etc. It's fugged. I can't imagine my car ever seeing the road again

sue that bastard!

at least you're okay man.. sorry to see it, but the car can be replaced.
be sure to hit the insurance company up about all the custom parts and hard work you've put into it. I've got a folder 3" thick with receipts on my car. If anyone ever hits me, their insurance company is going to wish they were dead.

Sorry Bro that sucks. I'm glad you're ok. Although it's sad to see the fastest N/A 4th Gen Maxima gone forever. Too bad you couldn't keep it as a souvenir. Not that you'd want to but it would still be cool. Now it's like if you get another 4th gen it probably wouldn't be as fast and so you'd have to boost it or find a newer Maxima or a new car. This is truly a sad day.

I really looked up to you, Nealoc187. I was so sure for a while that you would be the first 12 second n/a max. Glad to see that you are alive and well. I hope whatever car you end up with you push it to/beyond the limit as well.
