Neutral to Stall

Okay so my 5spd MAXIMA has been running fine up until about 2wo nights ago when suddenly it dies while cruising in Nuetrual. I was pulling up to a light and BOOP stalls...Happened again tonight and this morning but only once each way.

Coming out of 3rd or 4th I put it into neutral going about 45-60 and my RPM's just drop but doesnt stop at 1k it just slams to 0 and my car dies.

Granted I am just learning how to drive a manual so maybe there is some tranny safety thing I dont know or driving tip thingie that most everyone knows except me...Maybe mechanical, TB, MAF, AAC or base idle related?

Help!

Thanks

you are on the right track but it could be cause by several things. have you installed any mods or messed with the idle setting lately? lightened flywheels can cause this problem, dirty throttle bodies can as well. also too low of a idle could do it too. it could be numerous issues beyond those so first things first, figure out if you ahve done anything different to the car since this started happening...

No sir the car is new to me and is less then a month old, have not done any mods to the car and/or adjusted anything just checked fluid levels.

Would a dirty TB etc cause the car to "jerk" when accelerating for the first time after I start it up? I thought it just might have been my ****ty driving of the stick, but now I wonder.
