Okay, I've seen the instructions, know about the bypass valve for the potential water problem, and know what parts I need. One last question: Does the hanging tube get in the way of anything else in the engine bay? The fan looks like it could shred the tube, and would it melt if it touched metal if you used plastic? I haven't heard of any of these problems yet, I just was throwing them out there. Thanks

No worries, mate. The fan is surrounded by a cage that prevents the OSCAI tube from coming into contact with it.

I haven't done the mod yet, but I have been planning it out in my head. I am going to do something like UMD has done and attach the extension to the splash guard. This would keep the tubing from moving a lot and possibly touch the block or radiator fan. I haven't heard anyone complain of these issues however, so you could just let it dangle like muc of the others have done. Hope this helps!!

I've got a 3" in diameter plastic tube hanging straight down and have had 0 problems.

I have shifted the tubing around a lot and never had any problems with the tube hitting anything....I think the optimal place is peeking out of the splash guard facing forward...I made mine adjustable so that you can push the tubing in the guard and close up the slit cut in the guard if it is wet out.

Ok, so OSCAI is some sort of forced air induction then right? You guys are just adding to your snorkel that sits just to the right of the hood latch then.
