Hi, I just bought a new 2001 AE in majestic Blue with frost interior!! The car is amazing!! I put new bulbs in the headlights but i just can't figure out how to put the fog lights in I got the h3's but i don't know how to reach the fog light area to change them, can anyone describe how to? Also I read that there is a piece that is missing on the AE over the rear left tire, can anyone explain what that problem is?

THANKS A LOT

Here is a post that has a few pics and a word description by myself. I plan on doing a full write-up and take some pics of my own, but hopefully this will suffice for now.

I've got one for you...did you have to completely pull off that black rubber stopper to get the bulbs out?

Oh, and check out YJ's bulb site...has simple, straight-forward directions for all the bulbs. http://www.dream2kr.com/bulb.html

Good luck with the new AE.......we love ours. Get a bra and quick as the front chips easily and will be a complaint soon !!! Some recommend a professional 3m clear front cover install as no bra currently covers the entire nose of the SE/AE.

Remember with the foglamps to use a rubber mallet and one quick bump to the back (hit the three plastic tabs) and it will pop out. Using your hands and other tools leaves to much to chance. Place a rag in the foglamp cutout so the lamp wont go flying and you are in!!!!

That peice was missing on my AE too. I just had it put on this past Friday (4-13) @ no charge of course. If u look into your wheel well u will most likely be able to see exposed fuel lines, that's only half of the problem. The sheild that goes there also prevents dust, dirt, sand and water from being kicked up from the rear wheel from entering the fuel filler area through the three drain holes. I found this out here on the ORG (thanx guys!) and called my dealer immediately. A few people noticed dirt in this area and wrote about it. I addition to the dirt, I was noticing that every time I would open the door to fill up, it would squeak/creak.....leading me to believe that it would rust easily. Check urs and have it rectified immediately.

BTW, congrats on a fine choice in vehicles. Good luck!

Haulin.........did you get a repair receipt with a code number for the panel. If I look into the wheelwell I can see my filler line (black) and appears I may also be missing this piece and did not know .......
