tire pressure

whats the recommended tire pressure for 1999 max? i know its around 30, but want to deflate mine a little. patched up my tire today from a nail in it, and saw that my tires were at 35 psi, those damn lube places always have to touch my tire pressure

Most of us like to run slightly higher tire pressure to sharpen steering response.

I run 35psi front and 33 rear (cold of course).

yeah but after i took it down to 30 psi, the ride became more softer (noticed less fuel consumption too <-- maybe its just in my head).

I'm not really looking for a softer ride.

I noticed better gas mileage when I raised my tire pressure. I'm running 35/32 front/rear. Not much, just a few extra miles per tank full.

Nissan recommends 32/29 front/rear as per the sticker in the armrest, so I raised the pressure 3 PSI on both numbers. I may raise it another 2 PSI.

the place that put my tires on put em all up to 40psi, so im running 40 all the way around and i like it. a bit bumpy, but it handles well

by the way, not stock tires, ive got 225/55/16s on stock se rims
