Strange Problem: Car Periodically Dies

I have a 2000 Maxima SE, and recently it has been dieing on me. The problem only occurs when I am driving, then push in the clutch and come to a complete stop. The RPM's just drop and the engine will die. It does not occur every time I stop, only sometimes. The car has not thrown an SES, and other then when it dies, it seems to be running perfectly. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this problem?

Read through posts on this board until you find one pertaining to the "Fuel Cut TSB".

I have seen the Fuel Cut TSB, before, but I was under the impression that it only applied to 2001 Maximas, not to 2000's like mine.

One more thing about the problem. The car has not always died on me. I have owned it for a little over a year, and the problem just started about a week and a half ago. Thanks again.

Check to see if you have had the Crank Position Sensor recall done on your car. The car intermittently dieing on you is a syptom.
