Painted Engine Cover and Grill: DONE - check it out

I finally got a chance to post this. I know that the pics aren't great because it was raining and at night, but here's what it looks like. The engine cover was painted with standard paint (no high-temp) and has run for about 500 miles so far w/out any peeling. I'll post better pics this weekend when I get a chance to clean the engine bay and can take them in the light.

Looks like you're about 10 steps ahead of me! NICE. I saw your grill and liked the idea, but didn't know anyone had painted the engine cover yet. I kinda like the hamburger in chrome. It stands out a little better and matches the intake. Now for the other dress-ups that need to be done...

Thanks for the props. I'm also doing the home depot ground kit this weekend when it's nice out so I hope to have better pics then.

Looks great! Be careful w/ your Injen Intake. I live in Salt Lake and sucked up some snow/slush through mine. I took it off. Better for good weather driving! I notice you live in MD.

Thanks for the advise! Did the snow hurt the engine?

I'm uploading new pics now (just got done detailing the engine bay). Should be up in about 15 min.

Updated Pics!

Here's the updated pics:

BTW: you'll notice that the passenger's headlight is foggy (small chips from the road). The driver's side is new but I couldn't get the insurance to pay for the other since it wasn't hit in the accident. If anyone has advise on how to buff it out or where to get a good replacement lense, let me know.

Thought about that but it wouldn't look right unless I painted the hamburger the same color. Hard to match a chrome sticker w/ paint.

Very nice, GBAUER. I like both paint jobs.

How about painting the resevior(sp) caps in the engine bay to match, too?
