WHITE LIGHTENING, not thunder...sorry.

Very nice blue color...although may still go HID one day...but in the meantime this is a nice choice...very HID-like. At some point, I'll try to put up pictures, when I find a good location to take them.

The blue and white are so distinct that the stock fogs have taken on a very distinct yellow color in contrast. I also had to replace the orange bulbs in my side markers and turn signals because they had taken on a very ugly auburn color in contrast. I may put clears back in the markers and signals once I have a chance to go out and get some higher quality bulbs that bring out more of a white color...or maybe I'll keep the orange in to keep the cops happy.

Thanks, punkdork, for the needlenose plier tip for the black stopper...just wasn't putting enough elbow grease into it...which turned out to be okay since you weren't kidding about the amount of grease on that lighting fixture.

Just in case...

Anybody thinks I have no job...

Home offices provide all sorts of opportunities to do interesting things on lunch breaks.

Does anyone know how these compare to the Raybrig Metal Whites? I am not really looking for the blue HID-like look, just something whiter and brighter...

The White Thunders are the brightest but also have more of a blue tint to them than the Metals.

The lens is a light blue and the dichroic material is about the same shade of blue except not translucent obviously so it appears darker. If you view the headlamp close up while on, you see a distinct blue light cast on the reflectors in the back of the headlamp...however the light cast on a wall at close range is very white. I have to head downtown tonight, so I'll get a better idea of how the light looks at night on my way home.
