Are AE Headlights clearer than OEM Headlights?

I want to get new headlights because I installed strobes in them and got the inside all dirty and scratched . My question is are the OEM headlights that these aftermarket companies sell on ebay and other parts stores clearer or the same as the AE headlights sold on Custommaxima.com and by a few sellers on ebay? Are they made of the same material? What's the difference? Because there's a 120 dollar difference. Thanks!

Well AE lights are just the OEM ones painted inside. As for the lens being clearer it's the same. Choosing AE or Stock OEM lights is based upon your preference. Light out put should be the same if not less for the AE because of the reflection loss but not a big deal. I think CE sells them with the corners that's why. The corner parking lamps are CLEARER then OEM stock. The headlights are relatively same clearness on the lens. Hope this helped

I got my headlights from ebay I think "oemqualityparts" or soemthing like that and at the NJ meet over the summer I noticed that my headlights were super clean and clear compared to the other cars.

1997-1999 headlights are clearer than 1995-1996, so that might be why they look clearer to you (if you have a 1995-1996).

i installed 97-99 TYC on my dads 96 and they look just like my 98 OEM.

But they are a lesser quality light than OEM thats for sure.

My friend has one DEPO headlight and one TYC headlight (both 97-99)... I think the DEPO's were more clear, but I could be mistaken. Could just be age or maybe I was thinking about his corner lights.
