Ecu 0304 And 0407 After Quick Start-stop

I had a weak battery and the car would always kinda sqeek a belt for about 1 second after start up . After the general election, my job was over and
it sat about 3 or 4 days. And then that Monday morning my mom was going to church -- she's a last minute person who cant back up out of the garage.

She asked my brother where i was, i guess i was in the bathroom, then she took it upon herself to start the car to move it five freakin feet and then shut it ooff..(she even gave it gas instead of just using fast idle movement) i went to start it and it was making all kind s of funny noises ..

i knew the batter was dead so i charged it up over night .. she said she heard it making noises too..

So i got on this beautiful site and looked up the 4th gen code pulling procedure again and got the codes:

knock sensor 0304
and crank shaft position sensor 0407.

I havent yet reset it .. but i 'm just wondering .. would these codes show up
offor a short term and then disappear when the situation is corrected ?

I guess ill see when i reset the computer codes. but i would like to know

why the belt squeeks for the 1st second after start and why these codes would go off with the very funny engines noises because of a dead battery ..
could the cold start without warm up have F'd up these sensors that bad ?

thanks,
eric

Never heard of your situation before.. But cold start then immediately giving it gas is evil gotta give it time for the oil to lube the engine up...

Also, reset codes, see if they come back..

And the belt.. Have you recently changed it? Maybe its too tight.
