Have YOU gotten "Special Assistance Beyond the Warranty Period"?!

Have YOU gotten "Special Assistance Beyond Warranty Period"?! Please tell me your experiences with this!

My '99 Maxima SE V6, suddenly started to misfire this Autumn. I checked the code at AutoZone, and it came up with code: 1320. When I took it to the Nissan Dealership they said it was the sparkplugs. I was surprised, as I have only 36,000 miles on the car, and my warranty book says that the Platinum sparkplugs should last 60,000 miles.

This did NOT solve the problem, so I took it to another Dealership. They said it was the Ignition Coils. This was a costly procedure!

My question is: should this be covered under Nissan's "Special Assistance Beyond Warranty Period"? Please let me know if you have also encountered this problem.

Nissan has a service bulletin for this problem with '99 Maxima's--so I assume that others have had this same problem.

PLEASE share your insight, experience and advice! Thank you VERY much!

After the warranty period, I basically had to pay for every little thing...including the TSBs. So I really don't know what this "special assistance beyong warranty period" covers.
