wasup fellas, hoping you can give me advice on my problem. The tranny will not go into 1st and 2nd gears but it will into 3rd and thereafter. I am a newbie to 54spd trannies and your help will be greatly appreciated.

also, my friend was installing my radio (idiot) and while installing the radio if left the constant power on and shorted out the constant power from the fuse box ( i think). Is this easy to repair?

btw- the car is a 4th gen and it is not a 54 spd tranny...

 

radio i can help. is a fuse that runs radio/clock/ and maybe dome light. should be around 20A, but im not sure, its about ______
(__20A_) big, so look for a broken fuse in cabin or under hood. sorry i cant help on the trans

 

if it wont go into gear there is a good chance that it is clutch is old, or in need of changing, I was told that by a Nissan Tech, when getting my car fixed waay back.

could be the throw out bearing, or bent forks

You have 54 gears, don't worry about 1st and 2nd!

 

wont go into 1st and 2nd...sounds like someone fried your synchros....wonder if someone was doing some hard drivin?
try double clutching it into gear. If that works but normal shifting doesn't, your synchros are fried.
