I think most rice are using this filter right now. This thing is made in raiwan and its neither paper nor foam. It was designed to be like K&N. It claims to ADD horse power. Which I doubt will be alot.

I want to test it out, anyone know where to get the adapter to install this POS?

Check your local speed shop, because you might need to try a couple adapters to find one that works. One of my local performance shops makes their own for any application, so you might get lucky here at http://www.motorsportswarehouse.com/ .

That is the filter that cone intakes like the JWT popcharger and Stillen hi-flow intake use. You would need one of those to use it. Some people have complained of pinging and loss of low end torque when they used these type of underhood intakes. But, they do provide gains at higher revs. If you are going with an OSCAI setup, you don't need one of these.

Wow, are the stillen and JWT units K&N? because I know for sure this one isn't K&N and I have one right here by me! I will just forget the OSCAI if this specific filter provide power....

The Stillen cone intake uses a K & N. The JWT uses an imitation K & N.

GR8BONE used or uses the same intake. He dyno'd 1 HP higher than I did last summer. At the time I was using a JWT.

i don't know about the actual gains of OSCAI but you can find the Nissan adaptor at almost any speed shops. if they don't have an exact one to fit your car, they can always make it fit!!
i know this cuz i used to have one of those until i bought a Stillen Hi-Flow.

Go to Home Depot

I just installed this exact filter on my car. The filter was $24.99 at PepBoys and I went to Home Depot for some mounting ideas. I found a bracket that is used for electric conduit. The bracket looks just like the normal mounting brackets for the cone filter but it's $9 and made of aluminum. The bracket center is 2.75 inches and will fit the filter perfectly. For $34, it's a cheap mod that I think helps.

Did this filter help your performance? THis is a cheap filter and I think it isn't that great. I got ripped off and got mine for 100 CAD. Did any of you find gains from this filter?

I think so, the car revs quicker and gets off the line alot faster. I'll be taking my car to the drag strip in a few weeks, that will be the real test.

They sound nice but sound is not a accurate measure of speed, try driving around in busy traffic on a summer day and see how much that intake gives you then, you will loose more then you gain, but if you decide to go with an underhood filter go with JWT...its got a velocity stack and its flat out bigger then those cheap generic cones ( of course i need to take my own advice seeing i have one of them too )

You found that this filter gave your car a moother rev? What other mods do you have besides the intake? Maybe this litlle intake isn't a rip after all!

Yeah I have the same setup with the same cone and an adapter that came with the conefor under $50 shipped.
I had to shave the four holes on the adapter to fit my intake screws into their holes.

after it was on I could screech my 17" tire for about a second longer than before with my k&n panel filter and before my k&n I was usually unable to screech them at all unless the road had dirt or pebbles on it.

pics here of the install:
