Brand New Owner - Please help w/questions
I just purchased my first Maxima...2001 Fully Loaded Icelandic Pearl SE. Love the 17's, leather, Bose and all. Found this site and have a few questions now....
1. Is there anything that you can put on your car to protect the paint and make it stronger? I noticed in someone's profile they had 3M paint strengthener or something listed as an enhancement.
2. Is there any way to re-wire (not that I can do it) the car so that you can turn the sidelights and fog lights on WITHOUT the headlights on? (That is an awesome look in my opinion)
I love my Max and have been waiting 6 years to get it. I did notice the '02 Altima, which looks sweet and should haul butt, but Maxima has the class symbol, Altima doesn't. I'm not worried about it. hehe.

In the future, you can check out the sticky posts at the top of the page for a lot of info about mods, etc. Probably some cool stuff you didn't even think about doing.
The 3M paint guard is much like tint, only clear. You apply it to various sections of the front of your car.

Congrats and Welcome
#1. There has been many many many complaints about the paint quality on the Maxima, some options are, Bra, or 3M clear bra to protect the front.
#2. Look for the "How to" sticky at the top of the 5th gen forum. I believe there are more than a few people that have done it.
