If you have an amp check the ground.

hmmm i dont have an amp but do you know any other possible solutions? i think ill try some WD40 cuz it might be a rustiness issue (which i highly doubt). i wish our cars had those stubby sharkfin antennas like on my dads BMW.

just get it down and unplug it. mines unplugged due to an aftermarket HU, so it was always up. the rear windo antenna is sufficient for the rare times i actually listen to the radio. if you dont know how to unplug it, im sure its in the stickies, but frankly, im too lazy to look. its easy though, right behind the panel that hides your jack in the trunk wall, there will be the antenna motor box thing, theres just a standard issue power cable going into it. just yank that sucker out and youre good to go.

I just went and unpluged my antenna. Just pull out the jack and look inside with a flashlight. There is a white plug on the side of the antenna. Just squeeze the vertical sides (there is a small tab to push down on the side) and it will pull right out.

I always had the problem with my radio being fuzzy and the antenna always up. I checked the radio and the stations are coming in crystal clear now, not fuzzy. I figured I wouldn't get any reception, but it works good.

yeah, theres a secondary antenna built into the rear window, it gets plenty of reception.
