Well, just got off the phone with Maximum Auto Parts out of NJ....I think we figuered it out. First, Fel-Pro or Victor doesnt make them. Also, most part books and computer CD-ROMS are incorrect. Maximums built after 7/92 have the VE30DE engines. The books are showing 7/91-7/92....the part numbers for the head gasket on the VG engines are the same , there are two different part numbers for both head gaskets for the VE30DE engines Does anyone know why? I dont have the rear head off to see if there in a difference in apperance in the gaskets.

On the VE engine, the head gasket has to cover the timing chain opening.

You know,I belong to other forums on the internet that has to do with cars. I restore cars for a hobby in my spare time. I have been doing this for over 25 years. When I come to a forum asking for opinions, help,or what ever,I come across more smartasses on this site than any other. I`m not saying that everyone at Maxima.org is like that, and I thank the ones that have helped me,but if you dont have any good imput for a thread, its best just to keep it to yourself.

Don't let the newbs bother you. Anyway, have you tried NAPA yet? I just went to NAPAonline.com and they gave me a Beck Arnley part # 0322884, and I checked it against a VG head gasket set and the part #s are different. Good luck.

if all else fails, i'll check tomorrow and see if i can get them (I'm almost positive i can) as i work at a parts store.
you said you've already tried brian (internetautomart) and with that i'm surprised he cant get them...

edit: just checked and that beck arnley number mentioned above is good, i can have it for tuesday if its not already in stock, PM and i'll get you the price tomorrow.

yeap. I can guarantee you that Napa has that plenum gasket in stock, or if not can have it to you in a day or two.

Call SouthPoint Nissan and Ask for David Burnette. 512-444-4962. tell him I sent you.
If he doens't have them, call courtesy Nissan and Ask for Kaleb. 800-527-1909. if he doesn't have it, then call Tom Peacock Nissan. 281-231-4365. Ask for Ken Sanders. Tell him I sent you... wait.. they don't ship.. nevermind on that one. sorry.

If you can't find them at a dealer, shoot me an email.. I have most of the gaskets in a rebuild kit I bought from the dealer a few years ago and haven't bothered opening up the engine yet.

oh.. FYI.. the part number for a 1992 VE30DE engine rebuild gasket set is 10101-97E25. it's about $240.
the one for the valve job set is 11042-97E25 it's a hair over $200.

(the only difference is the engine kit comes with new oil pan gaskets and crank seals. the valve job set replaces all of the top end gaskets but assumes you don't touch the crank or oil pan.)

If you think this forum has a bunch of smartasses; you haven't been to very many forums. Go to riversidestreetracing.com . I can't tell you how many fights i get into on a daily basis over the net with those idiots. And the worst part is........profanity is allowed.

the head gasket is correct, you may have ordered the wrong side (crappy catalog listing the # you ordered was the rear one)
the Valve cover gasket I had the wrong # up there I fixed that.
the intake set is correct
Exhaust manifold set I didn't double check because it wasn't opened.
