Can I clear the codes myself?

I was getting some codes so I took the car to a mechanic around the corner from my house and he did a tune up and changed a coil pack. He said he didn't have the equipment to clear the codes and turn the engine light off.

I am still having problems but when I check the codes the old ones are still in there so I am having trouble narrowing it down to one thing.

Is there a way for me to clear them out or do I have to have a Nissan dealer do it?

Thanks.

I already did that but it seems to only turn the light off but I think the codes are still in there.

For example:
After replacing a coil pack and getting a tune up I followed those directions and turned the light off. Within about 10 miles of driving it came back on so I took it to an Autozone and they tested it and all of the codes came up again.

Confused?!

I'd say you still have issues! Seems like the mechanic changed the wrong part or you have additional failing parts.
