Cleaning Carbon Fiber Hood

I picked up a used carbon fiber hood for an irresistable price($75). Although the only problem with it is that it Had A filmy white residue on it. I washed, clayed, polished, and waxed it. It took off the film, but now it looks cloudy. Also when a light source reflects on it, you can can see the light surrounded by blue, orange, and yellow(Kinda like a flame). Any suggestions as to the best way to clean it and make it shiny?

I'd try a light polish like Klasse All In One to take care of that.

If its cloudy, I don't even think a polish would restore it. Chances are the clearcoat is fading, but I wouldn't rule out the polish.

What would you recommend, then if the clearcoatis fading? Would a detailing place be able to restore it?

Detailing shops can restore fading paint that simple polish just won't work on. However, I don't know if the same rules of compounding, glazing, polishing and waxing apply to carbon fiber.
