Auto-Dim Mirror?

Hey guys...has anyone installed an auto-dimming mirror on a 4th gen? If so, how tough was it and where did you get it from?

Thanks.
Ed.

I think quite a few have used the I30 mirror (at least I think it's auto-dimming).

You can mount it just fine. If you get it new, they come with all the hardware needed to mount it. All you have to do is glue the mount onto the windshield, then attach the mirror to it. It's just like it would be mounted in any other car that has it on the windshield. Of course you'll have to ditch your stock one and cover up the spot where it used to be somehow. After the mirror is mounted, it'll need a source of power, you could easily just tap in to your map light for a power source for constant power or run a wire across the headliner and down the A-pillar to hook it up to a switched power wire.

Not too hard at all. You can also get auto dimming with built in map lights, compass, outdoor temp, infrared sensor for alarm add-on and some even have a small LCD built in for when you have a back-up camera.
