Yes its illegal so you should keep your orange, or get a red bulb if you want to change your taillight bulb.

I have PIAA extreem white front turn signal bulbs for almost a year now and haven't had any problems. Even when I've gotten pulled over for other reasons, nothing was ever said about the front turn bulbs.

I purchased the hyper-white LED bulbs from autolumination for my front turn signals, rear turn signals, and for both the front and rear sidemarkers. I have yet to be pulled over for them even with polic driving by me. Oh, and I live in NJ...I really think it is just a mater of the luck of the draw. I have gotten many a compliment for them, so IMo - yes, it is worth it!

They don't make clear glass bulbs that light up amber?

Certainly; the hyper-white is just a personal preference.

That's exactly what I was looking for. Where'd you get them?

www.autolumination.com they have chrome bulbs that light up in various colors...but im confused...if you get it for your tails, what does it matter what color they are? the lens is colored..unless of course you got the clear tails...
