97 SE, Turn Signal (Left Only) Issue!
97 SE. Have not been successful in searching the exact issue.
Front left driver side turn signal bulb is not working. Replaced bulb, was not the issue.
Hazard Switch is ok, Flasher Relay is ok as the Rear Left works.
Both passenger side signals work ok.
The connector seems ok and no loose wires.
The only thing I have not checked is the fuses, because if it was a fuse wouldn't all 4 or just front or rear not work?
The interior gauge signal the green arrow works but blinks double speed.
What is left that I have not thought of?
Does the turn signal stalk on the steering column have 4 wires one for each signal from it or is it just left and right (or front and rear?)
ALSO it was raining for the past 3 days and some highway driving. Likely cause is a short somewhere or something?

You either have a bad ground connection (black wire) in the bulb's female connector, or these is a bad connection within the connector. Try cleaning up the conncetions in the bulb connector, or the ground. I would eliminate the fuse/relay or switch as potential cause. The double speed flashing is saying the the relay is not detecting a bulb in that socket, and since you say that you have changed the bulb and still get the double flash, then I would eliminate the bulb as the problem...unless you have 2 bad bulbs. You can prove that the bulb is good by switching them left to right.

The turn signal switch has one wire for each side of the car. The wire then branches off for the rear light, the front light and the light in the dash.
