cam question

i have a 2001 GXE automatic, and ive noticed the power band is real abrupt low in the RPMs. ive been wondering if i were to put a pair of cams with a wider lobe pattern and spead the powerband throughout the RPM's, it should help higher RPM horsepower, while still retaining enough torque to still get that great maxima launch. has anyone gone down this path and if so, what is a good cam profile for an every day driver/street race performance. id like to have more of the powerband focused on high end HP with out completely sacrificing lowend torque.

yeah JWT is our only option now, you could probably get a custom set made by one of the big manufacturers, Tomei, Toda, maybe even the domestics like Comp or Crane if you dare.

Your best bet to keep both low and high end is what Tilley did, check the all motor forum.
