Burnt out light in my 00 Climate Control unit

Noticed today that my "OFF", "MAN", and "AUTO" buttons are not illuminated any more. Is there a replaceable bulb in this??

I never use any of these buttons, but it sure looks different...

you can replace the buld with a 12V bulb sold in specialty stores, but for that you will need to remove your radio with climate control and dissasemble climate control, screw the bulb out, remove the bulb from blue plastic case and remove blue rubber that on the bulb. Install the new bulb in the blue circle casing and put a blue rubber cover on the new bulb and screw it in. It's not a very complicated process, just be careful and don't break anything.
I don't remember the type of the bulb needed, but I am sure once you remove it you can find it in a specialty electronic stores like(digikey.com). it's a 12V-14V bulb. I've done this on 2 car already w/o any problems.

Follow these instructions for stereo removal.

I'll be damned... I went out there tonight and gave it a quick rap on its left side, and IT WORKS!!! I never even thought of hitting to see if it would come back on. It actually took out more than I thought - temp ****, defrosts, and ECONO button (not MAN like I thought, i couldn't read it!! )

Thanks for the tip!

Yea replacing the climate control bulbs are a pain in the arss. You have to get these tiny bulbs from the dealer and take apart the whole unit. Good thing it works now.

You can also order the replacement bulbs from Dave Burnette at South Point Nissan. His number is 888-254-6060.

Hate to bring back an old thread, but this exact thing happened to me last night. I tried the bang and hit method but no luck. So, how difficult a process is this going to be to change the bulb out on the bottom left side of my Auto Climate Control panel?

Well, it turns out that I just had to hit the side of it a little harder because after a few whacks, it's back to working again.

Just take the unit out and tighten the bulbs, it just takes a screw driver to do so

There are a total of three bayonet-style bulbs housings with hold a small wedge bulb inside. The housing may be tightened using a flat-head screwdriver, although a tight turn by hand works equally as well.

For the problem listed originally, simply remove the CC unit and rescrew the bulbs back in. If you are feeling particularly adventurous, the wedge bulb may be replaced with an LED.

After pounding the side of the dash to cure the bulb issue, it has worked since.
