Climate control question.....

I have the standard all manual controls on my SE, if I find one of the actual climate controls at a local junkyard is it just a plug and play sway? I found a local guy that has that and the bose stereo I am looking for but wont split the two.

This is what I currently have....

I can't speak to the climate control question, but I would rethink the Bose head unit idea. Go with another aftermarket one if you're not happy with what you've got.

I'm not understanding what you're trying to do.
Are you wanting to upgrade the climate control, install the stock Bose system or both?

Either way, Don't do the factory Bose 6-disk. It's a junk system with a lot of problems.

I was going to upgrade the climate control because it was coming with a stock bose stereo.

I really want the full use of the steering wheel controls, can someone then point me towards some adapter I need for my current or other head unit?

I dont like the current one that came with the car as everytime I turn the car off the head unit resets the audio settings, not a full reset as the station presets dont revert. Also it just flat out sounds horrible (I have the bose speakers).

steering control

I had a shop install a Pioneer avc-4000nex with a SW1-RC from www.pac-audio.com. Its been working pretty well. The control allows me to use the volume control, the next/prev button, and the mode button is now a mute.

The framing of the original Bose 6CD matched the pioneer. So the climate control is still in place.

The one downside of this combination is the screen angle means it gets washed out during the day with sunlight. At night its fine.

Hope this helps.

The stock Bose system and climate controls are totally independent things UNLESS you are looking are the Nissan navigation system. Then they are intertwined.

You cannot put the navigation system in a car that did not come with it because of wire harness differences. And I don't under stand why anyone would want the Nissan navigation system.

You cannot swap the manual climate controls with the auto climate controls due to differences in the under dash and under hod wire harnesses.

Thanks that is what I was looking for, the seller wouldnt split the two so I thought if it was plug and play I would swap the climate control in there as well

Having a problem with the heat /ac in my 2000 maxima in the summer the ac blew but can't control always on, so I took it to the shop the mechanic said the motor is good but not switching from cold to hot. Do you think that the climate control is bad or something else?
