JWT Popcharger
JWT Popcharger
Well, it's come to the point I want to try out an intake, and see how I like it. I'm afraid it might be too noisy, but who knows, I might love it.
The JWT Popcharger seems like the most popular intake guys on here have.. is this right?
Is the install difficult for a complete noob? And lastly.. how does it compare in sound to other intakes.. like the frankencar? My impression was the frankencar is a bit louder. And also I've read tons of horror stories on shipping for the frankencar.
Any other advice you guys can give me on this would be appreciated.

Is the frankencar hybrid just a custom midpipe with a cone filter?
A popcharger is just a cone filter attached to the stock midpipe where the airbox connects stock right?
Can you get a cone filter that you can clean but don't have to oil like the K&N? Do you have to oil apexi?

KC you are right about the Frankencar and popcharger. Frankencar involves a midpipe, both of them have conical filters.
The Apexi filter is exactly what you said - no oiling, but you have to clean it periodically. Unfortunatley you also have to replace it every 60k miles.

Well from what I have read the past couple of weeks on intakes is that maybe just a cone filter attached to your stock midpipe is the best way to go with our cars. What is the adapter called that you need for the filter to fit on the stock midpipe? Where can you get it? Thanks.
Hey at least I didn't start another thread about intakes
