Ground control or weapon r coilovers any good?

Im getting my a new max any day now . I had sprint springs installed on my last max. Ive ben looking at coilovers and im wondering if they are any good, i dont have the cash for JIC's or anything like that.

Any one with pics of installed coilovers it would be helpfull to cause i want to see how the fit.

Should i just get springs or coilovers?

do you need to adjust the cars height a lot or mainly want it for certains you may want to slam it down, or raise it up (bad streets)?

Good is subjective... but overall I think it is fair to say that these coilovers are designed for looks. By this I mean that they are not as performance oriented as the other coilovers and shock/spring combos out for our car. They are quite bouncy from what I've read, and if you slam them it is not a very comfortable ride. However they do offer major heigh adjustability for <$400 which is important to some people.

if u really want the awesome handling and adjustability save for JICs or D2s.......but if u dont care about adjustment i would go with the Tokico Package.......but if u just wanna slam it and could careless.....WEAPON Rs are for you.....u jsut got to really think about what u want them for

just save up the extra hundred or two it would cost to get some D2's or Tiens(a few hundred less than JIC's) and be 1000% happier.Riding on GC(the best sleeve coilover) is like driving on a board. H A R S H

The handling of the GCs is great, not just for looks. It depends on what struts you pair them with, and how low you actually go. GCs provide a VERY uncomfortable ride...But the handling is day and night compared to stock. I would say got with springs tho. like some progress or sprints...I have ground controls and i am planning on switching to progress...

Too under dampened with the AGX. if you are going to get the GCs or any kinda sleeve coilover, make sure you get the Koni's over ANY other strut, as they will be underdampened with anything other that the yellows...

just a tip..

I have Ground Control on my I30 and I love the look. They are a bit bouncy but I have them as low as they go. Would like some adjustable ones but they are too spendy for me right now.

I dont realy want to slam much, i want a 2-2.5 inch drop.

I want the confert of being able to raise up alittle for the winter and drop down for summer.

And i dont plan on running auto cross or anything, i just want a smooth ride but better than stock handleing..

what are these D2's you guys speak of, can i get some more info?

O and i bought a 99 sterling mist today
