I apologize if this belongs on the OT section. I was driving in the middle lane minding my own business and then this Accord coupe flies by me on my left. The passenger rolled down his windows and stared and pointed at my car. I ignored him but then he was at it again. This time he gave a thumbs down. I could see the people in the back laughing. I sped up and rolled down my window to give him the finger. My brother grabbed a water bottle and handed it to me but the punk closed his windows immediatedly. Has anybody have any encounters like this before and how did you handle it?

 

Just gun it and wave bye-bye to the accord!!! hehe

I usually try to ignore a**holes on the road...otherwise, if it's something like an Accord, just zoom right past them...

 

Actions speak louder than words. Throwing water or the bottle is not an option as it will get you pulled over if a cop sees you.

You have a CAI and y-pipe. And let's assume that everyone weighed the same. They have more people in their car. More weight.

You pace them, smile a really big smile, wave and gun it.

They won't be smiling after you go bye-bye.

I was driving with my dad in our old 1990 Accord ... i look @ the car next 2 me (girl driver ... guy front passenger ... 2 guys in the back) .. the guys in the back were making racial gestures by slanting their eyes (I'm korean) ... I laughed & ignored them ... I look again just b4 lite turns green ... they do it again & r laughing ... I get f&cking ****ed .... my dad didn't c it ... but I f&cking gun it ... pull my car in @ a 45 degree angle so she can't go ... I get out .... she backs up & drives away!!!

my dad's wundering what the Heck is going on ... I tell him ... & I gun down after those guys .. they're stopped @ the next lite ... & the spot 2 their left is empty ... I gun in & edge my car in front of them @ the lite ... get out ... my dad gets out ... the front passenger guy gets out and start screaming @ me 4 trying 2 run his g/f off the road ...

I ask what the hell is wrong with the guys in the back .... he ignores my ? & asks the same question again ... I explain what happened .. he says he doesn't know & doesn't care ... meanwhile ... my dad goes 2 their car & stops in front of it so they don't drive off .... a crowd is gather ... oh ... btw ... I'm very calm all the while .. I know that ranting & raving won't help me out right now ... (the guy was about 50 pounds heavier than me) ... I tell him ... I want an apology from u 4 the behaviour of your passengers ... & I want 1 from them .... he says no ...

fine I say ... I call 911 (the popos r s/t's on your side) & tell them about the situation .. she says .. "just drive off 4 your own safety" ... I say no .. I want s/o here b/c they've committed a racial crime ... the guy starts 2 panic now ... he says, "listen ... we don't need 2 do this ... " ... I tell the 911 attendent 2 hold on .. I think I'm getting an apology

they eventually do ... moral of the story?

1. don't ever get out of your car ... I coulda been shot ..
2. diplomacy is key ... know that you're smarter than the other guy ...

aah, i hate those kinds of punks that dunno when to shut their mouthes and keep their actions to themselves. it really ****es me off and i sorta can have a bad temper. if someone did that to me, nd it was a ****ty civic, id just fly be them and maybe cut them off a bit and show them how pretty my finger is. but reading ohboiya's story, what those racist f****ers did was just plain wrong. i have never encountered something like that before, but i would have probably did something worse if i were in your case. I am korean as well, and if someone ever did a gesture like that to me, i would have done what u did, but i would have maybe done something worse,but lucky for u your father was in the car. i rarely drive with my parents in the car, if anything my friends. but that is me, i cant control my anger all the time, but i try! but i am only 17 goin on 18, thats what i say now, when i get older, i am sure what i am sayin now will seem stupid.. hahaha

I dont know but most people with some mods on their car arent very nice. This maybe in Nj but every guy I try to show props to is ****ed off or about to be.

 

i will just tell one incident, this happened a while ago and i was in my modded legend at a light, just went to starbucks btw. then a lift truck pulls next to me and its full of white guys wearin their oakley(sp?) sunglasses and they start talking **** and i look over and just try to ignore them, then they start yelling racial slurs and i start getting ****ed. my frind next to me starts yelling **** back and so do i. then they just laugh so i throw my caramel frappucino in their car through the window. it was a perfect throw. hit the passenger guy and splashed everywhere. the guy in the back jumped out then my friend hannded me his latte. i then threw it at that guy and he yelled like a girl. i then sat there with nothing in my hands waiting for the light to turn green when the driver and the other person in the back seat jump out and start running around. light turns green and then i take off. me and my friend start laughin and give the birdie.. it was cool but cruel, well worth it, about 10 bucks and endless laughing and story telling..

 

That was a funny story. What happened to me was messed up. The damn kid in the passenger seat just stuck his head outside the window and just stared at me trying to be Mr. Comedian with the thumbs down $hit. The Accord was full of white kids and it looked like the driver just got his license. Maybe they were messing around because I was an Asian guy driving a car that was faster than their's.

 

thats so wrong, total disrepect and being such a punk *** *****. unless he has a 200 hp v6 (they are auto so they not that fast) he mostly has a auto/manuel 4 cylinder so should have just gunned it and let him compliment your nice tail lights.

 

I used to get steamed whenever I would see some punks phuking around and causing trouble. (I got picked on a lot as a kid because I moved to a very inbread Italian town in NY when I was 8 Y/O and I wasn't Italian. Gave me a lot of anger most of my life, and jaded my perspective on trust and people.) However, I've learned one thing... no matter how mad I got, it wasn't doing me any good, but rather doing exactly what they wanted me to do. When I reallized that most of the punks would either do something stupid enough to get themselves killed, or go to jail, I didn't angst any longer.

It's the thinning of the heard my friends. Only the smart AND strong shall survive. The stupid will die first or pay for it somewhere else. Coffee in the lap is a NICE payback.

It's hard to do, but I try not to get mad...it just gives them the satisfaction that they got to you somehow...

 

Yeah, you can try to ignore people. If you are not careful, what happens is that you store all of the hate and discontent inside and try to forget about it. But it is still there and it will pop out at the WORST time. You either have to act when something happens or find a release for it later. Trust me on this one...

 

One time just drivin down the road chillin (two guys with me) and this big group of 12 or so yr olds just standing on the side of the road were like "***gets" and flipped us off or soemthing. I pull over turn around, and gun it back there. I get out of the car and walk up to the group (half of them had already ran away) I remember one kid specifically flicking me off and I *****ed him out and forced him to get on his knees and apologize. The look of fear on that kids eyes: Priceless....

One time at a movie some ***** in the row in front of us, turned, dumped popcorn all over my friend, and then ran otu laughing...we were all just like "wtf was that for" and stayed in till the end. Well while leaving I see those two girls standing in the entrance of the theaters. I get out and say something along "wtf was that for you little ******" one girl thinks shes all touhg (I hate girls like that-you want to stick them in the face, but just can't bring yourself to it) We exchange some words and when I just turn to dip out she grabs my hat and throws it. I am like "**** you" get it and start to leave. Then my friend Matt gets out (with his butterfly knife) flips it open and then asks the girl if she wants to start some ****...By then she was starting to back down and a big crowd was gathering I was like "Lets dip!!" he pushes the girl down and we both burnout out of the parking lot. I think he had taken it a little far, it was just some girl...but it was funny, god I thought he was going to get into some **** for that.

Back in high school a friend of mine just got his license and asked if I wanted to go cruisin. He was just driving around and we saw two 12-13 year old kids. My friends says "what's up" just to be friendly and kids started saying "F*** you!!". This was uncalled for and my friend floored it and they were pedaling as fast as they could. We lost them when they went into somebody's backyard. Two days later the cops came to his door and asked him about that little incident. Then his granparents took his license away for a month. Luckily there weren't any cops coming and knocking on my front door.

 

Lies solve everything...It's just a matter of the ***** you got to keep em going long enough!

My advice: Stay cool. Take the high road. Get out of Dodge.

Don't allow yourself to be baited/victimized by idiots. The best thing to do is ignore behavior like that and drive off as if nothing happened. Keep your "fingers" on the wheel...

When you drive off as if nothing happened, you take all the power away from those idiots. That's a good feeling. If you respond to those idiots, they will drag you down to their level, and *beat you with experience* every time! Besides, the one who retaliates is usually the one who suffers the worst consequences.

I know this is easier said than done, but give it a try.

bullseye, that is good advice. however like u said its hard...if punks try to punk me off, i enjoy getting them back regardless if i stoop down to their level. i am sure a lot of pple will agree that revenge is sweet, and that sumtimes u just have to take matters into your own hands. i know i do. people should not treat other pple like that, but hey if we all want to be treated equally, then if they get hurt, its exactly what they asked for!

If all they did was make faces at you, they didn't commit any crime. Even though what they did was pretty stupid, and very immature, that was pretty stupid of you to try and run them off the road, or pull in front of them so they couldn't go. I have a few friends, that are as*holes like them, and may have done the same ignorant thing, but if you had done that to them, they would have left you and your dad on the ground in a bloody mess, and render your car undriveable. You're a minority in this country, if all they're doing is making faces, suck it up and show them that you're the bigger man. Crying like a little b*tch won't solve your problem, and attempting to yank an apology out of them isn't going to make them like or respect Korean's any more. Obviously, your intent of pulling in front of them and demanding an apology was to make them show you some respect...Here's how you do it...Break out some of that kung-fu sh*t all you chinc's know, and go straight Bruce Lee on their a$$es. Bet they won't f*ck with you then. Try it, and let us know what happens.

Could you please make reference to who or what told you that white people are a minority in America because that is not correct. Am I a priest??? Lol. I actually do practice what I preach, believe it or not. You won't see me jump out the car because somebody calls me a honkie or a kike (i'm jewish). I am actually an extremely violent person. I used to get in a lot of fights in grade school, but never over racial slurs, or somebody calling me stupid. It was more over money, or respect (i.e- someone trying to humiliate me in front of their friends to make them look 'cool', or in front of a chick). Or if one of my boys gets in a fight, and I jump in. I cut people off, turn without signaling, and pass on the left. People flip me off and yell sh*t at me all the time. I don't mind. I think it's pretty stupid for them to waste their energy of lifting their hand 8-10 inches in the air and extending their middle finger.

As far as your dad being in special forces in Korea...That sh*t doesn't cut in the "State's" my friend. Where I grew up, if your dad pulled some crazy stunt like that, blocking a car full of guys in, he would be breathing out of some new air-holes. Nobody is going to out run a bullet, no matter how much training they've had. And that would have all happened before he even had a chance to get out of the car.
