seats are squeaking.. any fixes known?

i have a gle with tan leather. i dont know why but it really gets to me, just getting into my car and starting her up and hearing the springs in the seat just make that noise. is there any way i can get up in there and stuff it with something? anyone else have the same problem?

I have the same problem. Passenger seat. I usually drive alone so the noise is there. Goes away when someone sits on it. A lazy fix for me was to recline the seat slightly back and the squeaks are gone. I haven't been able to trace the noise, however.

take seats apart, and grease it up, or loose some weight. i think the 1st option is a lot easier

Re-grease it. I'm hearing winter squeaks on my spring.

I have a 99 with leather, I found that while driving, there was an annoying squeak from the passenger seat (when empty) - turns out to be the bottom of the seat back rubbing against the seat bottom (in that crevice between the seat back and bottom) - I stopped it by sticking a small piece of foam in the gap. The gap is very small, but I guess there is contact between the seat back and bottom in certain spots, and the normal road vibration while driving causes the seat back to vibrate slightly, making the squeak (leather against leather)...

Ok, the same thing happened to me recently and I was able to resolve it by doing the following.
1) Remove seat from vehicle.
2) Unscrew bottom cushion from slide bracket frame.
3) Replace all medal ring braces that hold leather/fabric to foam cushion with wire wraps.
4) Remove cover from back of seat spine.
5) Wrap the bottom medal bar on the back of the seat with a thin cloth.
6) Place a thin cloth in between the back springs and foam.
7) Reassemble everything, drive and enjoy the silence.
