a little bit of magic with an aluminum welder.

I know the USIM is not the hot thing right now but I'm bored and about to put this manifold on and thought I'd share that with the proper resources an adapter plate isn't always necessary.

and this little project only set me back $90 and thats just the price i paid for the throttlebody.

Good work, where did you get the throttle body from? Are you still selling the 00 VI manifold, if so please send me a PM about it and price.

Thanks,

-Nick

I'm not knocking what you did, because it looks real good, but whether you bolt it on or weld it on it's still an adapter plate.

true, but what i like best about it is that it gives that much more of a stock appearance.

and i'll post some closer up shots of the neck of the manifold so you can see the finished product if anyone is interested.

I'm interested. I'd like to see the buildup pn the back side of the flat surface. Did you just mill the flat surface after adding the Aluminum material?

I got the manifold bolted on now. Will take some pictures when I finish tightening up the last few bolts here soon.

compression fittings suck. i'm missing one for a vacuum line right next to the throttlebody. i gotta figure out a way to fix this. probablt just tap the hole and screw in a fitting. anyone else got any ideas?

IDK if I have just never noticed it but what it the actuator looking thing that connects to the vacuum hose on the top of the TB . Have I just not seen it there before or do most people remove it? Is it a cold high idle since I thought you didn't have one with the PF TB?

i'm not exactly sure what it is. I just couldn't get the hose off other than cutting it so i just left it. it might end up coming off so that I can mount the WOT switch for the Nitrous.

What happened to the plans of the DE-K? Any plans on a dyno? Either way, nice project there. Hopefully that will be the next thing on my car, but it will be a while. How does the butt-dyno feel? Change in sound/responsiveness?
