Yeah, the other day I was driving around, and stopped at a stop light. When the light turned green, I accelerated (not that fast really, just a little over normal) and I looked over 2 lanes, and there was a Chevy Silverado. I noticed he seemed to be going pretty quick, so I stepped on the gas some. Soon, I was flooring it and this damn truck was keeping up with me, all the way till 90 mph! We were dead even. What's up with that? BTW I have a 95 GLE. Just wanted to post this cuz I didn't think Silverado's could come close to keeping up with a Max...but I guess I was wrong.

well Axion,

Just about any pickup made in the last 10 years (V8 only) will definitely keep up with a stock maxima. Remember those trucks have BIG-A$$ engines with tons of torque, so don't blow them off...

When I used to drive a V70 Turbo, I raced a Sierra and it was the same result. I couldn't believe it. I think Chevy has a new Silverado with about 340 or 380 HP(I may be incorrect with the HP but it's up there somewhere). I guess we should stop trying to race these new cars and trucks with stock Max's huh?

Check the off topic forum. There is a good thread about racing trucks...
