HELP!! Car Looses Temprature integrity.

HELP!! Car Looses Temprature integrity.

i try to heat my car every time before i start moving. and it handles very nice and smooth.

but as i go if it is cold outside give it about 3 mins and i loose it back to cold and i get all the knoks and the hard shifting

my sister has a G20 and i loose my temprature and she doesn't, although she is 4 cylender.
any clue guys?

Change the engine coolant thermostat and you'll run nice and hot again.

what kind of job is this?
a hard one or easy and do you have a clue how much would it cost?

its not that hard just a bit of a paint get hand/tools in there. the thermostat is about $20, you can get it from advanced auto parts.

In the how to's it shows how to change it, but the black tube comming out of the left side of the block about half a foot down, is the thermostat, drain coolant ( do this with a cold engine), then take of the black hose, unbolt the 3 bolts holding the thermostat in, replace and reverse, refill and done, check for leaks.

check for codes, I got codes when I needed to change my thermo, plus my coolant temp sensor, maybe there ghost in their or it hasnt tripped the light yet.

my problem is i have the Stupid EGR CRAP and i think it is hiding it behind it.
but let me Check the how to's .
