help vafc to control 00vi

anyone using the apexi vafc to control the 00vi ????
i heard that some people are using it just to control the 00vi or the mevi but cant control the air fuel mixture...i also heard that its only good for 1 run at the tracks before the stock nissan ecu takes over even though you got the vafc.....is this true????

anyone know how to wire it up???? is there a write up on the vafc???

As far as I know its still able to control the air/fuel mixture. and this is a pigyback computer, so it tricks the stock ECU into thinking everything is normal, so I don't see how the stock ecu will just "take over" after one run. That would make it pointless for people to buy it to control the VIs. I THINK there's a writeup on the FAQs or Stickies.

I'm using a V-AFCII to run my VI. I ended up not needing any tuning so it's basically just an expensive rpm switch at this point. It wires up just like the S-AFC except there are a couple wires you don't use because they are for VTEC activation based on load and throttle. There's a purple wire that is a VTEC out based on rpm. That's the one you hook to the vacuum switch. It's a 12V out.

Most of the stuff I read about the ECU reverting back to stock setting was anything below 35% throttle, if I remember correctly. If you do all your changes above 35% throttle it will work fine. I think it was Stephen Max that was writing about this. You might contact him.
