Here is a pic of it, its real chrome not polished to look like chrome.

From what we have seen with access to the 04 model at our facility is that the top bracket differs.. If anyone can confirm this that would be greatly appreciated.

I put the street scene grille on my 05 max and it fit.

I have my stock 05 grille, I'll be happy to go get the serial number off of it to compare

Made on 7/29/04

If anyone has their 04 stock grille available, they can compare the back of theirs to this.

Unfortunately one of our staffers said that the grills were different on the 04 when we had access to the car.. the top bracket that was designed is borrowed from the Trenz so that may be the issue. I wish I was present at the time of the grill test fit, Im not entirely sure but just in case I will pick a 2005 model. And if it doesnt fit we know that it is a design flaw, and we can figure out what is different when we attempted the 04.

hey guys after reading this thread.. I know what the problem is now..

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=326238

The Trenz grill which based our design has fitment issues.. so this forum should know that the company does not offer a grill that sits flush with the car and it will hit the hood... We are calling in our 04 Maxima to correct the issue so you guys have another option of #1 Real Chrome and #2 it actually fits.

I noticed the way that grille's fitting was and didn't like it at all. Glad to see your willing to work on his and fix that issue in YOUR model. Nice work

MAJ_Jimbo, if I'm not mistaken, I stumbled upon an older post where you received another free grille.

if so what's up man? you can't share the freebies?

I suggest you first make a nice donation to the ORG: http://forums.maxima.org/subscriptions.php

and then pic which grille you don't like and make a donation to:

Nismo...Your absolutely WRONG! The only other grille I have on my car is the E&G grille, and stock grille in my garage. I bought that...150+ dollars! In fact I was the one that bought it and was the "tester" cause I was interested in the Trenz, but leaned to buy the E&G grille after I heard of the problems everyone one had with the fitting of it. After I installed it, I think Silverbelle was next.

Nismo...you really need to check your facts prior to making statements like the above. The only free grille I'm getting is the one from StradaUSA...I challenge you to find a thread where I received any other free grille, which would have to be the E&G grille.

Read the thread: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=365785 before pointing the finger

Do you care to see the receipt?

whoa man calm down. i was in no way accussing you, merely asking. wow, my mistake. besides, why would i really care if you did? did i post at all for this one? no, i'm happy for you.

oh btw, here's what caused my confusion:
http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...69&postcount=6

i meant no malice by it what so ever, "tester" is usually a term used by manufacturers when using somone's car.

Guys...let's get this whole free grille straightened out. When StradaUSA posted the message, I emailed them with the information about my car and said that I would be interested. They emailed me at work on Friday and said they picked me. In the message they said they didn't have time for pics and they wanted to send the grille to me ASAP. So bottom line, I don't have any pics at this time for fellow Maxima.org users. I'm not holding out...what I'll do is post a pic of the grille as soon as it comes...I'll take a picture of it prior to putting it on the car.

Like I said, I have no idea what it looks like. I checked the Stradausa website in search of what it might look like, but didn't find any information. So I'm waiting just like you all...Don't worry...I'll post a picture as soon as I receive it in the mail. More to follow....

Understand Nismo, but the way you put it out...your making it seem like I'm screwing over fellow users of this group. I used the term for myself since me and Silverbelle were discussing getting it. I emailed the manufacturer several times and asked about fitting issues and about the metal used, then once I felt comfortable, I bought it and I used the term "tester" for myself...probably should have used a different term if I confused folks...

Everything is cool Nismo...just don't want to have fellow users think I'm screwing them over on a free deals....

sorry my joking manner couldn't be depicted with print better. personally, I'm happy for whomever receives freebies. there's no hard feelings. the quickest gets the deals.

once everything is said and done, is it possible to throw the grille you no longer want in the classifieds?

Nismo...definitely...but honestly, I don't know what this grille from Stradausa will look like...I may not like it, but I will do what the company asks since it's coming for free and install it and take some quality pics for them. If I do like it, I have not problem putting my E&G grille up in the classifieds...I know folks are liking that grille too

Sarcasm is hard to translate in print...unless you really know the other persons style.

I usually find this out the hard way!!

Jimbo, hope the grill is nice, and of course we look forward to seeing it once you get it. All is good in love and Maxima.org....

Yes indeed...I love this forum...more informative than when I subscribed to a VW forum and had a VW...before some lady hit me at 40+ mph and tore off the front of the car...

Everyone!

No grille has arrived yet from StradaUSA...so I have no updates...not sure why it's taking a while. Seemed like they wanted me to install the grille quick and take some good photo's. I'll keep you all posted!

Folks...maybe the grille I'm going to receive is going to look simular to the one below. This is the one that StradaUSA makes for the Nissan Altima 2005+ that is posted on their website. Like I said, I didn't get any pics of their concept grille for the 2005 Maxima...but they did say it was a chrome finish from previous posts from them.

Again...I'll keep you all updated when it arrives!

Yea I would hope so too...The Altima one looks like what I have now...the E&G grille, except the E&G grille is stainless steel as opposed to chrome. Hopefully we'll see soon. Figured the grille would be here by now...
