New Exhaust Setup For A Newbie...help!

hey guys...i need a totally new exhaust system, and so far i'm going with the custom maxima y pipe, with a Cattman catback system...custommaxima has a deal for the y pipe and their high-flow cat. I know that the high flow cats are not too popular around here though, and i was wondering, should i buy the package deal, or should i look elsewhere for a cat? Any pros and cons to either route?? Is there anything else i would need to complete the exhaust set up??

i think that any aftermarket cat will gain you very little if anything if i were you id just stick with the y pipe and cat back then save the $$ for other areas of car

am cats for na cars yield roughly 1-3hp... imho not worth it... definately the y-pipe... cm y has good reviews going for it... but unless you want a bolt on ss exhaust that looks pretty, id get a custom one made...

all you do is pick a muffler, and take it to an exhaust shop and say you want a 2.5" resonated b-pipe made (they bend pipe, and weld in a resonator) and throw your selected muffler on the end of it for about $200... same performance as the cattman, for $400 less...

a good muffler would be the dynomax super turbo, i as well as many others have it and are very pleased with the sound of it and a resonated b-pipe...

happy modding...
