my max seemed very slow today....

it was a normal day like ne other here in LI, a little wet out but not a problem. When i had my off period in school i went 2 get food and it seemed that my max would not pick up as fast and not have as much power, even when i floored it and chirped 2nd i still felt a little power loss... i was running 87 oct. ( i know its bad but i have no $ right now) but still even when i run 87 it feels more powerfull. I dont have ne new codes, just the old 02 sensor codes cuz my exhaust is realllly rusted. also i know my brake pads seem 2 be rubbing on the rotors cuz i think i need new pads (sounds like metal hitting metal). so this obvs creates drag, but still it usually seems more powerfull, can this be or did i smoke a lil 2 much today... hmmm

Money to eat out but not for vehicle maintenance.

It's scary the way you state that the brakes have been making a metal on metal sound. I think the engine not having power is the least of your problems.

And your KS is probably retarting timing due to the low-mid grade fuel, and this will in turn result in loss in performance over a period of time.
